I'm with you Martin, but I don't think he'll be around since there are only a few pure left tackles in this year's draft. The Lions are a hard team to project given their BPA philosophy, since the highest players likely to be available at #23 are at positions the Lions don't need (DT and WR). Mayhew has never drafted players with character issues, so I don't see them going with Jenkins, although his talent would fit. Drafting Gilmore or Brown in the first round would be positional reaches based on need, so they don't fit with the BPA philosophy. I've had Barron going here in previous mocks, but I backed off on this one since they re-signed Coleman. If they don't sign O.J. Atogwe, I think he's back in the mix. I'm not sold on Adams personally, but he's the last top tier tackle that projects to the left side. I actually look for them to trade up for a corner, or trade down in the event that they don't...I just haven't figured out which one yet.The Red Mienihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04672422579178449737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5927279725204745907.post-82064721998600895962012-03-24T17:27:10.555-07:002012-03-24T17:27:10.555-07:00Mike Adams is a popular pick for the Lions at #23,...Mike Adams is a popular pick for the Lions at #23, but if people have paid any attention at all to Mark Mayhew, you can see where this flies in the face of convention. Adams has not "flashed" like a tier one prospect and Mayhew will be looking for an impact player here. Jonathon Martin may be worth the risk, but Adams, no. Look for the Lions to go DB (Jenkins/Gilmore) SS (Barron) or OLB (Zach Brown), before they would draft Adams.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5927279725204745907.post-33658953672916389962012-03-23T20:28:17.938-07:002012-03-23T20:28:17.938-07:00The Bears won't be drafting Michael Floyd in R...The Bears won't be drafting Michael Floyd in Round 1. They got Brandon Marshall in a trade with Miami. I like Floyd to fall to the Texans at #26 in the first round. Hey, I can dream, can't I?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
